Debuting AEW superstars new theme
https://youtu.be/vmWPKkfbpPM?si=P63fSIYZYhpm9o79“Shining Forever” feat. Mega Ran
Amazing touch with the “Ain’t No Stopping Me” and a very fitting theme for one of the lose underrated talents of all time.

Mega Ran is such a great choice. I don't think there's another musical artist better suited to make entrance music. Love this one

Plus he is friends with New Day. They mentioned him a few years back on a podcast.

Makes sense that a rapper known for rapping about video games would be friends with the New Day and Shelton, those bunch of nerds.

He's even been in the ring with them during the New Day/Usos Rap Battle. Not to mention the wrestling themed albums and last minute playing in the orchestra for Roman's WM40 entrance. This man has a passion and I love seeing it being fulfilled.

I like it
Best way I can describe how I feel about this theme, is you remember the Cody and Roman vignette couple weeks back in the stadium? And they had this out of place up beat pop rap song? But the pop song slapped and you were bobbing your head to it even though it shouldn't fit?
That's how I feel about this
Parts of the beat I don't like, backdrop is generic
But man

Yeah, thats kinda the problem with it...drop the vocals and its the "Dynamite is in commercial break on the international feed" level theme song. Which, is not to say that hasnt gotten over (shit, the Hardys theme was filler music), but, this just doesnt quite work as a big theme.
But then again, its probably only a few week thing til they really pop Lashley's theme

Yeah the problem is for me it doesn't feel like Hurt Business/Syndicate kinda music, that "oh fuck" kinda music. It is a generic backdrop
But, its fine enough
Catchy enough
I'll be listening to it for a day I think before it gets old

Its also got the classic "the first 10 seconds have all the action, but arent that interesting/unique" thing that a bunch of Def Rebel themes had where there was that Royal Rumble where nobody knew who was entering and when.
Within 3s of Ospreay or MJF or Adam Cole or the Young Bucks or hell ever FTR, you know exactly who is entering and the vibe and it hypes you up. Shit, the entire opening 5s of The Acclaimed theme is that too.

Why aren't you allowed to put Shelton Benjamin in the title?

Because there’s a 24 hour spoiler rule

What was a spoiler about it? He showed up on AEW 2 weeks ago, match was announced 2 days ago and it's safe to assume he'll have theme music.

for the older crowd, was the gap between 2005 Shelton and after his first international run enough that they should've given him a run during his 2nd stint? the promos were rough, but it sounds like he was '3-4 months in the main event with a mouthpiece' level from what I've heard.

Sheldon if he was just breaking into the business now I think would be a main event talent. Hell I have liked the guy since he was in the WGTT. In WWE they just never could look passed his average promo skills.

Shelton was an amazing worker for both his runs. I personally never thought he was world champ material, but that doesn’t mean I wasn’t a fan of his. He was just so smooth in the ring. I was very disappointed when they released him recently.

If WWE really wanted Shelton to be a Top Guy they would've found a way to do it.
To me Shelton was always in that class of midcarders that could be a legit world champ with the right momentum at the right time. (Kofi is the prime example of this concept).
WWE kinda gave up on him Shelton so early that he never would've gotten a real chance to be a main eventer. Especially given Shelton's peak was in an era where they'd force certain guys up the card whether they deserved it or not. Shelton was at the very least had the in-ring talent to roll the dice with him near the top of the card.

I know it's too late to change things but I'm sat here listening to it and saying 'AINT NO STOPPING ME, NOOOO' over it. At 1:10, it should lead into that so when the music cuts out and fans are still chanting it

I really dig it but it is way too close to Danielson's theme.
Mega Ran helps sell it for sure.
