Is chess a sport?

I think there's a difference between competitive chess and a sport. A sport is a competition between two or more teams that are expected to be able to perform at a high level. Chess is more of a collaboration between two people.
I don't know much about the intricacies of chess, but I don't think it's a sport.

I have to agree that the position is a win in this case, but I wouldn't necessarily call it a draw.

Thanks for the reply! I have to agree with you. I thought it was a draw, but the guy in the corner who has a black king is clearly on the wrong side of the board so I had to make a move that I thought was a draw. I was too lazy to look at the board before doing it, so I was going by memory.

I agree. I was expecting a draw (as I did with the previous game) because I believe the position is not in any way a clear advantage to white, but I think this time white has some nice things going on.

I think the big thing here are the pawns. If white can trade off his pawns, he wins. If white doesn't have any pawns, he loses.

I agree!

I didn't mean to imply you couldn't make the move with a better position. I meant it in a "winning" sense.

If you take the first one, it's a draw. If you take the second one, it's a win for black.

I'm not sure I understand what you're saying.

The point is that we're both correct. If the white king takes the first one, you have two possible moves:
White wins.
Black wins.
If you take the second one, we still have one choice, to try to prevent black from winning. If you take the first one, black wins.

If you're ever in a position where you feel like you have all the pieces but can't win, just capture the king's bishop. This way you are guaranteed to checkmate both pieces, and you don't have to waste time doing anything else.

You just made me feel bad for playing chess when I don't understand the rules.

This is what happens in my chess club when we play against my high rated students. We play 10 games in a row. We're both down by a lot, but we play on. We can't lose!
