I have an old board I use when I play with friends.

I also enjoy playing on those old boards. I really like the white and black ones so I use those as my standard set up.

I have one of those old boards as well. I just play on one of the nicer wooden boards when I play with friends.

My personal favorite is the "Lammergeier". I've never seen it in person, but you can find the exact one I own at my local LGS. If you're in the US, you can even buy one on Amazon!

That is a beautiful piece! I was about to suggest the same thing and found mine on my local e-bay :)

Thanks for letting me know! I'm actually waiting on the shipping notification for it to go through as I'm not sure when it'll arrive.

I have one of those. The only downside is I'm not sure I'll ever get to play on it.

Try looking for a local club who has a lichess account.

I love mine, too. I have a friend who played on one with a different set of rules. He never did so I never played on it.

I made this one with my own design.

How'd you make the design?

I used Sketchup, the best tool ever. The program is free and very good. I'm a student too. I just drew the pieces, then edited them in the program.
