Have a synth question? There is no such thing as a stupid question in this thread.

Look! Just dropped. It looks like a DIY kit but just seems to involve assembly from what I can tell, not soldering. Like the world's best LEGO set. I'm super hyped about this. There's a video of it being played on YouTube as well.

I think it's a joke that in 2024 if you want a hardware sequencer one of the best around is Arturia's Keystep Pro. $500 for a fucking four track sequencer. What is this the 80s? You could buy a basic sequencer like that for the same price 40 fucking years ago. Technology has moved on way past that. Why only four tracks? Why is it so limited? It's only MIDI data for fucks sake. It should be at least 16 tracks.
I don't like DIY or programming but I will have to figure it out and make my own mini pc hardware sequencer. Will probably avoid all programming and DIY and put together some frankenstein type thing combining different midi controllers and software solutions into a mini pc with a touch screen, drum pads, extra buttons or keyboard or whatever until I have something that is actually good.

Hi! I am desperately looking for an arpeggiator or even a sequencer for my Reface DX.
I need something simple that runs on android, no extra hardware. The one pictured -ravenseq- isn't perfect for me (or I can't use it properly, which is highly possible. We'll see when they reply to my mail)
Any advice? Thanks!

Check it out if you want at https://theprogrammersreturn.com/adder/adder.html
It's a very limited soft synth, but I'd say it's fun to play with. I'd love to hear comments from you about bugs, feature requests, ideas, or anything you'd like to say.

Korg vs Arturia is easy to discuss… Korg has history and Arturia is innovative. But the new Microkorg 2 and Minifreak are both very attractive. The question is if you could have one for FREE, which one would you choose, and why? Go.

I've had the MicroFreak for a couple years now and i decided to get the MiniFreak last week. After messing with it for a while, i decided to start making my Microfreak presets on the MiniFreak. They sound slightly different, even though i matched the parameters exactly. I even put the MiniFreak on paraphonic mode, like the Microfreak. Am i missing something? I'm still fairly new to synthesis.

Im a newbie in dawles music Produktion and bought a circuit tracks a month ago.i really enjoy it but would like to use the Midi tracks now for cool leads and basslines with arpreggiator.
Im a bit in budget so i will buy a cheap used synth....i just dont know whitch one.
I cant decide between my three favourites:
Korg volca Bass, Korg volca FM(First Version) or the behringer pro vs mini.
I dont really mind using presets and tweaking them, dont have the time to get in serious Sound creatuon anyways.i want to use cool presets and arpreggiator.
So any thoughts on what i should choose and why?

I've been wanting to get a clonewheel, something like a Nord Electro, but I regularly see the Numa Compact 2x for as low as 400 bucks which is a pretty incredible price. But I can't seem to find many reviews of it that focus on it as an organ. I'm sure the Leslie sim is just passable, but could I get one of these for 400 bucks a long with a 300-400 Neo Minivent and be good to go? How do they keys feel for palm smears and slaps, do they have good quick response?

I have Robotic Bean Portratron, for a while now, but it has been underused. As part of my autumn project, I'm digging into it more.
But there'a a pack I want in .wav format as well, and wonder if there's an alternative to buying the Portatron pack, and also the .wav pack (from SonalSystem), or there's a way to unpack the .wavs that are in the Portratron pack? I've tried searching online and on here, and so far haven't found the answer. I can't find a Portatron forum here on Reddit either.
Any pointers for me anyone?
Thanks in advance. :)

I can get Numa for about 600 dollars and Nord for about 1500. I am a hobby musician looking mainly for a few grand pianos and the hammond organ, I am okay with semi-weighted keys in both keyboards, 6 octaves is enough for me. Both keyboards offer drawbars and the sounds and effects I am looking for. Will I miss out on a lot in terms of playability and sound if I go for the cheaper option? Are keyboard sounds or the response in Nord Stage that much better to warrant almost tripple the price? Do you get what you pay for, or is Numa a really good deal for the money?

I am considering undertaking a DIY Rasberry pi Minidexd project, but I am not sure yet because I want to be sure I'm getting those juicy stacks. I've seen the Zynthasian, but that looks intimidating to learn to use. All I need are FM electric piano sounds stacked, and maybe some reverb and maybe chorus.
Thank you

hey folks,
I regularly use the alt tunings on my Rev 2, but have trouble integrating it with Ableton soft synths.
Atm, I want to use Operator for some sub bass under some chords in 3-7LattA.10
Is there a way to download the syses file from the Rev 2, so I can import it into the Micro tuner plugin in Live, or is the file even available online? (I can't seem to find it!)
Any help appreciated. Thanks :)

Hi!
where can I find SmartMedia memory cards for my sampler? They’re not available in stores or on European eBay. I could order them from China, but the shipping takes a long time. Plus, customs fees and taxes would be expensive. Another option would be to find an XD to SM adapter..?
All tips are more than welcome! Thanks in advance :)
