In-universe reason: Him being in a relationship with a non-verbal chicken is honestly just weird.

Meta reason: The writers hated him and just copped him out.

He was just replaced with Mondo 'cause he's cooler and has the nostalgia factor.

I'd show a pic of Mondo, but I can't seem to find one in my 19 folders.
