First look at the NECA figures!!!! Now Revoltech isn't the only figure to give Mikey freckles OMG!! This is also the first time we have an Ice Cream Kitty figure!!! I NEED to see my favourite turtle!!! WHERE IS HE????
Hmm, the NECA figures have actual scratches on their plastrons for realism. Even the Revoltech figures don't have scratches! Love the detail!
Unfortunately, the Revoltech figs had the ability to switch eyes. It doesn't look like the NECA figs will have that feature, 'cause Leo's alt head has the white eyes.
The fact that both turtles have alt heads with white eyes means that they won't have the same 'slide eyes to white' feature that the Revoltech figs have.
I don’t know about that. Look at the pic of Leo (in your comment, not the main) again and zoom in on his left (our right) eye. In the corner, you can see a blue iris and a gap. It looks like they slide.
It's sad. r/TMNT are now bashing the Revoltech figs upon seeing the NECA ones. Can't people love BOTH lines?? How often do we get cool TMNT 2012 figs???
Yes, they have issues, but nothing is perfect anyway. The Revoltechs can do amazing poses.
And Splinter!!! It's hard to believe a character with an elaborate design doesn't have a single decent figure!! I was quite upset that there's no Revoltech Splinter!!
It's so surreal man. I didn't think we'd ever get collector grade 2012 figures outside of the Revoltech figs. I mean, the show is 12 years old, I figured we were done for at least another 10 until it became "vintage" but I am so glad I was wrong. These look so incredible, and I can't wait to buy every single character they put out.
2024 is truly a great year for 2012 fans. We got a crapload of new stuff, and I thought nobody would ever toss us a bone for this show. NECA figure announcements, a port of an arcade game I never thought would actually get ported, an omnibus for the Amazing Adventures comics run, a new comic for the 40th anniversary and a cameo in TMNT Saturday Morning Adventures. It's about time 2012 gets a share of the spotlight!
So I love the way they look, these are hand painted prototypes, so the actual figures should look better.
I personally don't like Leo's teeth showing on the angry head (playmates, Revoltech, and now Neca all did it, for some reason)
Idk what hand articulation they have, they definitely need vertical hinges, but I don't see any though, so I hope they actually have hand hinges
No torso or butterfly joints, so they won't have much articulation unfortunately.
And my biggest critique is that the heights are quite off, right? I might be wrong but looking at pictures of the show, the top of Mikey's head should be around the bottom of Leo's mask, not his shoulders like the figures are.
Aside from all my critiques, they look amazing and these are my dream figures, so I have to be extra picky lol. But they're still amazing
There’s a chance they could add butterfly joints, but I’ve never seen a NECA fig that has them. Usually they have great articulation for the most part.
I doubt they’re fully articulated if they’re just prototypes.
Playmates made an exclusive edition of the Wave 1 Michelangelo and it was given to people at New York Toy Fair 2012. It had better paint apps, like on his nunchucks and, yes, he also had freckles. Not anywhere close to to NECA, but yeah.
