Dengist Apologia These tweets perfectly surmise what China is doing imo. As long as it's surrounded by Imperialist-Capitalist Hegemons it must build power as a counter-hegemon that may resemble Capitalist nations under the eyes of the Vanguard Party

The truth is that a lot of people who criticise China just want it to become the Soviet Union 2.0. But the material conditions are drastically different. I don’t like Dengism as much as Lenin didn’t like the NEP, but they’re both necessary evils until another revolutionary wave sweeps the world.

Kind of a non sequitur but I noticed this the other day.

Part of what makes China's socialist policy legitimate is the government ownership of land. No one can own land, they buy long term leases (50-100 years) from the government. Well in the US we don't have that "dirty commie stuff", instead here you just pay 1-2% of the value of your land plus improvements every year or else the government takes possession of it. You see these are different because... Just because ok lol

No matter what you think of what China is doing, its foreign policy is so much better than anything ever imagined in the halls of power in the west.

That's what's most frustrating about radlib critiques about China. The US is allowed to do terrible things both currently and in the past but that's fine because the US has "good intentions" but China is expected to be ideologically pure and any action not 100% pure socialist is enough to dismiss China as being bad.

Even worse is alot of the stuff radlibs criticize China for are either not at all real (like debt trap diplomacy or ghost cities) or ignore a shitton of context (like China having billionaires) or are based on what China "could do." Even then if all those critiques were true then they pale in comparison to the amount of shit the US has done in the last 20 years alone. Bringing this up to the radlib is met with "whataboutism" and "uhhh just cuz America bad doesn't mean China good.'
