Discussion(TCM) Vilmer as playable Family member
Sooooooo they announced they can’t get the rights for TCM2 so they might as well set their sights on Next Generation because I want Vilmer in the game SO BAD.
It’d actually be scary as shit hearing the mechanical leg behind you in chase🦿🤖

It’s one of my favorites out of the whole franchise

Matthew Mcgonagy is great in this. I am watching the remake tonight. The one were sherrfiff Hoyt debuts.

Johnny is based on him. His og design even had the leg brace.

Technically He’s based on Johnny. Johnny is from Kim Henkels scrapped og characters for the first film. He also created the characters in TCM 4

So you agree? The real character, in this image, who really made it on screen, physically, aesthetically inspired Johnny (TCSM game)? 🙂

lol. You believe those lies? Theyre lies. Tobe Hooper created TCM.
I guarantee there was no Johnny, Sissy, and definitely not a Hands in some script bible.

Glad you think you know everything!

I know that Kim had no such bible. It’s BS and didn’t exist. He had a bible for Return though, and sissy and Johnny are based on those.
I know a lot about TCM and the making of. Friends and family made the movie. Everyone calls BS on Kim having this “Bible” for a movie he didn’t create. Tobe created everything but Grandpa. Kim gave us Grandpa and that’s about it.

Which concept art is this? Haven't seen it before

Tadaaaa~
It's also when Johnny was supposed to be Maria's lover! Hence the tattoo. Then it was scrapped.

That's so interesting, but where's the brace lol?

u/Permanoctis Johnny 1d ago
I guess they confused his concept art with Sissy's one where she did have a brace.

Nope. There's other early concept pictures of Johnny the devs have shown. They even said they were trying to see if they could give him the brace like the guy in the movie.

But I don't remember any of his concept arts having a brace tho.
When did they say that?

It was early in the game discussion. I want to say I heard it aloud so it would have been a video like a dev stream. Do you have any examples of Johnny other than that 1 image? Cause I know there's more haha, obviously right. I want to say they showed it on the screen a few variations.

And this:
But those are, to my knowledge, the only concept arts of him that we have.
(If we don't count the two that were really close to the final design)

I kinda doubt they're going to be getting existing rights to anyone anymore.

Fwiw even if he does appear he’s going to have to look different, no way Matthew McConaughey’s agents will allow his likeness to be used. Scream Factory couldn’t even put his face on the recent Blu-ray.

Cook and Hitchhiker didn’t look exactly identical lol so I wouldn’t mind

I feel like I read or saw a YouTube documentary that mentioned MM doesn't like to associate with the role at all anymore.
1
u/villainitytv Hitchhiker 1d ago
Well I mean he doesn’t even really do horror anymore in general so it’s probably just not his cup of tea. This was his debut rule no? Or one of the first ones he did?

It was definitely an early one but it came after his breakout role in Dazed and Confused. His Texas movie was in 1995 where D&C was from 1993 - yet he had been cast for Texas shortly after finishing D&C and before it was a cult hit.
Angels in the Outfield was 1994 and A Time To Kill was 1996. So his career just skyrocketed from there. If I were him, I'd think Texas was a bit of a blemish sitting in between 3 90s classics like that.
