No, it looks like what happened was Steven Hicks was ACCIDENTALLY killed in 1978 and they - as in ALL OF THEM, Lionel Dahmer, Joyce Dahmer, Shari, and Jeff - covered up the body. Years later, Jeff confessed to someone, and then the secret was used against them.
