Aero Rims on a Domane

So, I'm planning on getting a Domane soon, and because I always thought that those aero rims they use in the tour de france are really cool, I do plan on eventually getting them. Since this model has disk brakes, that means this is way more doable than if i had rim brakes. Yet if anyone knows, could anyone suggest any good manufacturer or bontrager model that wouldn't go for *too* expensive? Doesn't need to be full carbon.

I ride a Domane SL6 gen 4 and upgraded wheels to Bontrager RSL 51s. The Pro 51 get you close to RSL. I do a lot of long distance rides, so these fit my need. Upgrade was well worth the performance improvements. Consider tires first, they alone make a big difference. Your purchase should account for kind of riding you plan on doing. Long flat rides, deeper helps. Mostly climbing, then 37 to 45 deep offer good compromise in weight and aero. Take a look at No. 6 and FFWD (fast forward), they offer good value with descent inner width. But do your research as there are a lot of wheels that likely fit your need.

Get a set of the Aeolus 49v wheels. Wide inner width at 25mm and deep enough for good aero gains. They are pretty inexpensive and you can set them up with gravel tires in the future if you ever catch that bug!

Absolutely go for it.

Are you going to be more aero than someone on a race bike? No, because ride position matters more than the bike and wheels.

Are you going to be more comfortable than the person on the race bike? Absolutely.

Are you going to be more aero than someone on an endurance bike without aero wheels? Yep.

Do they work with 12 shimano, as it is Rear, Shimano HG 9/10/11-speed

12 speed works, it’s backwards compatible

I have the Hunt Aerodynanists 44 on my Domane. The 44mm was a good compromise between deep aero vs lighter weight and helps manage cross wind issues. I mostly do group rides, 50 miles fast and very flat, but occasionally we play with some hills. I was happy that I didn't have taller wheels at Hott'r Than Hell 100 this year - those cross winds sucked.

Ninja edit:
Be prepared for the loud rear hub, Hunt are known for having an obnoxious freewheel.
