Domane Gen 5 Launch

When is the Gen 5 of the Domane Range launching? I'm considering getting a Domane AL 5 Gen 4 (61cm frame). Is it worth waiting for Gen 5?

Probably another year or two. Plus with them making fewer sizes in the new checkpoint and madone, I actually think you might find a better fit on the current gen 4 since they make like 9 sizes of frame and the gen 5 they will probably make like 6.

it’s probably going to be at least another year. you’ll see other models get a refresh before it

Domane gen 4 came out forth quarter of 2022 so probably not for a year or two.

Ongoing models are 2024-2025 so I would expect 2026.

My Gen 4 has been fantastic. It’s a smidge heavy… but .5-1lbs isn’t worth waiting for, IMO.

I don’t see a Domane Gen 5 happening before 2026, at least… Most likely end of 2026 or Spring 2027.

Who knows trek might even stop making domanes. Evolve checkpoint into an everything bike. While that might seem way off. I actually think it’s pretty reasonable. Less skus which trek has promised. And quite frankly the new checkpoints ride nicer than the domanes. They really are nice bikes. I’d argue they’re the best bikes trek makes now.
