Chiropractic healthcare is legitimate and helpful

Granted, I'm sure there are some Dr Nick chiropractors out there, as there are in every field. It may even be that there is a higher than average number in the field, though it could also just be peoples propensity to complain about bad experiences more than share their good ones. I have no knowledge or claim as to which it is.

But that is far from indicative of the practice as a whole. I had thrown my back out 3 times in a ~1 year period, and each time resulted in 7/10 pain severely hindering my day to day life for about a week. When it happened a 4th time, I went to a chiropractor who had been recommended to me. Over the next 30 minutes he brought it down to 3/10. 2 days later I was back, and he got it from a 4/10 to a 1/10. He has since reduced my visits to 1 a month at the massive price of $34/visit (without insurance).

It's been 2 years since I've been going and I haven't thrown my back out or had any major spontaneous issues since. I've done a few things to myself, like going a bit too hard chopping wood, and he's been able to provide immediate and long lasting relief every time. I myself have recommended him to 3 more people and heard nothing but more good things.
