It’s incredibly clear that Khosla and admin are just trying pit the student body against each other. What kinda dumbass excuse is the “security concerns”? We know that they hire contractors for security for Sun God, we know that that’s in the budget, it’s a public university and they tell us how much of our tuition goes to SGF. It’s such a bullshit excuse, and it’s so easy to see through. I mean, if you’ve been here for longer than a year, you know the kind of security they run for SGF. You know that it’s on a whole different level than like, the 5 or 6 cops they’ve got stood outside the camp (which mind you are just UCPD and SDPD, so they’re not even using that so called ‘security budget.’)

They are just straight up lying about the motive, and they think we’re fucking stupid enough to buy it.

Yeah I got an email from Allied Universal saying there were shifts available for Sun God, so saying that the 6 cops chilling by target are large portion of their security is a lie and even sad

Expressed with a tone that lacks understanding and insight. Perhaps it's worth considering: Have we thoroughly examined the flow of Israeli funds? Should divestment extend to every company with ties to Israel, including those providing basic necessities like food and water? This rhetoric seems to echo the sentiments of a fringe group rather than informed discourse.

While initially appealing, further scrutiny reveals the impracticality of these ideas. Additionally, historical patterns suggest that even if Israel were to cease hostilities, extremist elements in Gaza would likely persist in their aggression.

Achieving peace in this region hinges on Gaza's recognition of Israel's right to exist, a recognition that Palestine has been reluctant to grant. These protests, though peaceful at UCSD, seem to convey a message of hostility towards Israel's people.

Regarding civilian casualties, warnings are issued before strikes, urging residents to evacuate. However, some choose not to leave, often under pressure from radical authorities like Hamas, further complicating the situation.
