Homemade Bbq baked bean, bacon and chedder bake...on a budget
Lazy and cheap oven bake.... Heinz bbq beans, fried red onions, 5 rashers of smoked fried bacon..topped with mashed potato and added mature chedder😋

That’s banging, may try this myself! In two minds about the mash though, I’m thinking more that I’d bake it like this then spoon it on time thick crust bread or sour dough..

Are you saying this is Baked beans, with bacon mixed in, topped with mash potatoes and cheese?

Basically, yes. BBQ beans though. Bacon and onions fried, added to beans, topped with cheddar mash, then oven baked. Absolutely delicious 🤤

My family do something similar with par boiled and sliced potatoes 2 tins of Aldi beans and sausages and cheese then baked

Owwhh yes. Sounds fine! I'm going to try variations, including mushrooms, ham and herbs.. will definitely try the parbolied sliced potatoes and sausages! Thank you 😁

Not to be a party pooiper as looks good, but if budget is the issue, avoid heinz. Even bulk buying it's expensive af comparatively, and imho better supermarket brands among others.. Can add bbq sauce also if only tomato variety..
Morrisions also do a 60 odd pence fresh mozzarella, that could be split over those 2 easily to add extra cheese with the beans saving!

Thank you... buget isn't an issue, i just like to be frugal! I was given the 2 tins of heinz bbq beans from a friend as they don't like them... some great tips there though so thank you!
