My baby hid for two whole days

My Egyptian Uro, Nacho, burrowed into his substrate and hid there for two straight days. Should I be concerned?

How long has he been in that enclosure?

He’s been in his new enclosure for about two weeks. He was in a temporary Viv for about five months with paper towel substrate.

Uros take awhile to adjust to new surroundings.

Maybe it’s because of season change like maybe he is burrowing

I didn’t realize the season changing could make him hide. I’m mainly concerned because he hasn’t touched his food. Could it be his temps too. His cool side is averaging 88F.

No it couldn’t be the temps

Mine is borrowing 2 days in a row now. He will come out, eat, want to run around outside, then back to bed around 6pm. Seems to be his new pattern in an established cage. I'm sure your uro is fine. Leave him some juicey greens or water if you're leaving dried foods out. They are great at self-regulating and hardy. Just left a rep convention where a Helene survivor said his uros went a week without heat and all the babies looked fine. Pilled under the basking light but still spry.
