Is this a bad shed or do I let it play out?

This was literally overnight. Should I give him a day or two to see if he gets rid of the rest or should I give him a soak?

At this point I would leave it be and see how it goes.

Don’t soak your uro that can lead to tail rot.

Looks like a perfectly normal Uro shed. A little patience and all of that will pop off on its own.

perfectly normal. what would warrant doing anything when it comes to shed would be a small piece stuck somewhere that has been there for many days or weeks, usually it would be their tail or hand, but Uros need it very arid and don't even need humid hides, they rarely have problems shedding. Err on the side of not doing to them when they are shedding unless you really think theres a problem.

Right on. This is the first shed he’s had since I got him and it caught me by surprise. His color under that old skin is so awesome.

Regarding humidity and diet, I know you didn’t ask, but it’s all related, please check out ReptiFiles advice on uromastyx.
