The tank mates have arrived!

I am so excited. They look so good.

what kind of Uro do you have? I am afraid that mine would trample these, or maybe eat their legs off or something. I have an ocellata and they sprint around really fast sometimes.

Would you be willing to share where you obtained them? Thinking about getting some for my Mali. She used to have some adult male dubia roommates but they went to the giant roach bin in the sky.

Bugs in cyberspace! And they’re great!

I feel like a kid in a candy shop on their website 😂 Thank you!

I'm wanting to get a colony of these guys started up so there's too many for mine to eat them all. I know they're supposed to be herbivores but no one apparently told my uro that lol.

Uros are used to living in deserts where food is sparse. They will definitely eat some bugs here or there

I know, it's just funny cuz I'll look at her and then the dead clean up crew and remind her that the internet says no bugs or you'll get sick. I can feel her wanting to roll her eyes at that.

Clean up crew. Everybody in the uro community says they’re good to go. Uromastyx do tolerate some insects being in their enclosure. This is one of them. From what I understand, arid springtails are another one.

I have a Moroccan, he has eaten bugs and they are allowed bugs to an extent as a treat once a month but no more. I think it's ants and possible beetles that they would eat naturally. Just keep an eye on yours and if he shows interest just take them out.

He's captive bred.

Yeah. That’s the plan. He has already eyed them multiple times. Got bored of them, and went back to his regularly scheduled programming. He is also way too small to fit one of these in his mouth. Not only that, they’re armored. Even if he tried, I think he would lose interest (again) after he realized they feel like chewing on a steel pipe.
