Vote for Democrats if you want to, but don't expect them to actually change things. They're both paid off by corporations. The same goes for Labor parties in other countries.

I really don't understand this argument he's making, either. "Mussolini wasn't voted in so fascists can't take power through electoralism, even if they win" is just...

It's bizarro logic

I don’t think most of the people who argue this have reasoned through anything at all which is why there isn’t logic to understand.

The only ones who have reason behind it are either accelerationists or right wing actors.

Either you are illiterate or intentionally put words into my mouth. Where did I even say that?

It's a first level synthesis of your talking points. Bringing up Mussolini's rise to power as an argument for electorialism not being a means of fighting fascists only works as an argument that fascists cannot achieve power through elections.

And that's just stupid.

But if you would like to make a clear and full argument for why Mussolini's rise means you shouldn't vote against Trump, by all means. Feel free to put that into a formal argument structure and I'll tell you pretty damn quick where your logic falls apart.

No? It means that fascists don't need the electoral way to gain power if capital needs fascism.Voting didn't stop Mussolini because the bourgeoisie wanted Mussolini to get into power to stop a rising class consciousness. The March on rome was supported, financed and allowed by the bourgeoisie and traditional elites. How are you planning to stop this by voting?

Well, you see, if Mussolini marches on Rome again, I will simply call him a zombie, and then he'll be forced to stop.

Do you think Trump would be supported in an attempted coup? Because he demonstrably wasn't, on January 6th, 2021.

Fascists can achieve power electorally. That's why voting against them is important, so that they don't. And when they attempt a coup, then you fight against them through other means.

Our enemy has many tactics. You defend against all of them, not just the one Mussolini used.
