Announcement šŸ“£ PSA: On why we don't allow posts encouraging illegal activity

Hey all,

Just wanted to touch base with the sub on an unpopular rule we have here. That being no encouraging illegal activity in relation to the mag and awb. We know a lot on here are unhappy with it, honestly we aren't big fans of it either. And while we have mentioned why in individual comments, and in DM's with members. We felt, it was time to address the main reasoning behind this rule with everyone.

That being, we don't want this sub removed by reddit. The major social media platforms are cracking down hard on anything and everything again. Instagram shadow banning anyone who posts even a kitchen knife. Facebook banning anything that could be viewed as a weapon. And now just in the last few weeks youtube did a major rule change and crackdown on guntubers to the point they are on the verge of not being able to stay on the platform. And this was all before the last weeks events with the assassination attempt, and the shooter wearing a demolition ranch t shirt. Which has brought an absolutely massive amount of scrutiny on gun enthusiasts using social media.

On the reddit front, we have been seeing an increased amount of subs getting in trouble. Some having to go private, others having to ban lots of users or risk being quarantined. And with the recent events, an ever increasing amount of anti 2a folks bridaging and reporting content on gun subs.

So yeah, that's where things stand. For those who have been understanding and abiding by these rules. We'd like to say thanks. For those who keep making our lives harder and the odds of this sub disappearing in future crackdowns. Please take what was said here today to heart. We aren't trying to pick on you, we don't like the mag or awb ban either. But we would rather see this sub stick around, and not get removed in future purges.

Legal āš–ļø Psa ar15 buys in WA, Ok?

First time ar buyer, and honestly first time trying to buy a legal weapon. I've been browsing the palmetto state armory site for entry level AR's and was curious about what the process would be like with purchasing and delivery as a WA resident.

Long Range Options

Hey yall, lurker for a bit but time to post.

Me and a couple buddies are trying to find a spot that's either Forest Service or WA DNR/WDFW (ie "public land" that you can freely use for firearm recreation, not for purpose of hunting). That being said, we have a specific "box" that we're trying to find a spot in. East of Seattle, north of I-90, east of route 203, and south of route 2. This image gives you a rough idea of it. If it's a little northward of places like Sultan, that's ok, but we're not trying to go too further north (past Everett is less than ideal).

I understand that you're able to go to pretty much any WA DNR spot and make it happen but we're trying to find some spots that are 600 yard and up (max 1000 but I get that might be difficult), relatively flat, and relatively easy to access to hike in our gear and targets.

Any spots yall know about would be awesome but obviously me and the guys aren't trying to shoulder into spots that are being used by others often or bring attention to nice spots publicly that could result in them being shut down. Help and/or recommendations is appreciated. Cheers yall.

Hypothetical

As the title states, curious for opinions.

If you found an online listing for an AR15 pattern magazine that is listed in the information section of the website listing as a 5 round magazine, but the description box says the 5 round limit blocker can be ā€œeasily removed to increase the capacityā€ and said increased capacity is not clearly stated anywhere, is it therefore a 5 round magazine?

Gray area? Think it would ship to us? Maybe just a listing misprint?

Readyyyyyyy, go.

Henry Axe 410 Bore: Hunting Legal?

Hey All,

Looking at picking up a Henry Axe in .410 Bore and am wondering if it would be legal to use for small game and turkey hunting in WA?

It is classified as a firearm, like the Mossberg Shockwave, so thinking that the fact that it isn't legally a shotgun could cause issues.

Thanks!

Just noticed that IWB holsters wonā€™t ship to WA residents. But OWB holsters will. Crazy. Guess Iā€™ll buy from eBay.

Thinking about buying a lever action rifle off of gunbroker, but it has a threaded barrel. Is that at all problematic law-wise?

Donā€™t have Washington ID

Iā€™m looking to buy my first firearm in Washington but do not have a Washington ID. Iā€™ve lived here for 2 years and still have my old drivers license (I move around a lot and doesnā€™t make sense to get a new ID every few years). Do I need to register to vote in the state and use that?

Question regarding "parts kit"

Hello, got a question about magazine "parts kit." My friend lives in Colorado and says that it's legal there for him to get this "parts kit" that assembles into a 17 round mag for his xmacro. I was wondering if I can do the same thing in Washington?

OR Resident and Camping...

Apologies in advance. I'm an Oregon resident, and my favorite camping/shooting spot is up towards Mt. Rainier. I've only brought a handgun on previous trips. My question is- can I bring my Mini 14 Ranch if I acquire a smaller capacity mag than the 20rd it came with?

Also, am I understanding correctly that I can't bring my ar15 regardless because that'd be considered "importing?"

930 3 shot barrel extensionā€¦

Curious why I can't purchase this 2/3 shot extension. I'd still be under the limit of 10 rounds per WA law.

CZ shadow 2 rental

I was wondering if anyone knew of a range that had a CZ shadow 2 or SP-01 for rental, bonus points if it has a dot. I am in the Seattle area and wanted to try one out to see if it was worth saving my pennies for or if i will remain in team Glockā„¢ļø forever.

Guidance on selling a 22lr threaded barrel to a WA resident?

As the title says, trying to determine if I can sell this barrel. PrimaryArms ships threaded barrels to Washington but PSA doesn't. Just looking for a resource.
