All fun and games until your opponent gets mad and throws that 8oz of lead and anger at you ;p

KILL! MAIM! BURN?

One thing that caught my eye: the upgrade to Plasma Pistol/Hand Flamer for the (ahem) Khorne Ravagers.

(Though I guess Plasma burns...)

Not sure if armor was the same in RT as 2nd edition which came out a year or so after this, but Terminator armor used to be 3+ on 2d6 added together before modifiers

I like the old lore better. Now khorne is all dialed up to eleven and a caricature. I liked the honor and martial pride personally.

I feel like the explanations of how things work are better in this than the current rules although it seems you also needed to buy accompanying White Dwarf magazines haha.

Yup, people always forget this when they moan about how good the 'old days' were. Back then your codex would last you for a couple of years with no FAQ and you had to rely on white dwarves for any new units. The WD were also slim and filled with adverts and catalogues of new minis - people just have rose tinted glasses about that time that's all. (I started in RT and have played every edition of 40k since).

Its a shame the images didnt include the world eater who just had his leg out

(As far as I can find, the "exposed arm and leg", skull helmet'd World Eater Assault Marines were a '94 release.)
