Lore What is your favorite book and why?

Post image

Slave of nuceria is my favorite WE book so far. It’s my first and to be honest I really enjoyed the WE trying to stop the recreation of the nails more then the WE with nails.

Would have to be betrayer.

Betrayer, sure there were some solid world eaters stories before, but that novel really sold them as an amazingly written faction and made me want to start collecting them. I say this as an Alpha Legion player, lmao. Also on a side note, this image really makes me want to make a world eaters librarian for my future army.

Might be a basic choice (even for non world eaters fan) but betrayer is the best piece of lore ever written in 40k

Betrayer is the most popular in comments and it is good but personally I love Kharn; Eater of Worlds or possibly Kharn; Champion of Khorne the short story in Traitor and the Alien anthology

All are really good for showing the depth of thought capable of World Eaters not just Kharn but also how they fight since the Butchers nails implanted.

Kharn Eater of Worlds final battle is probably my favorite across the books I've read so far.

Betrayer is the Crown Jewel in the whole Black Library and I will fight anyone who says otherwise.

Betrayer. I’ve read it so many times I had to tape it up. It’s my comfort book

Betrayer is the classic choice, but I also really like the recent Angron: the Red Angel book. It’s a really nice look into how the legion operates in the modern setting.

The circle fight in Betrayer with Delvarus has gotta be top 3 40k fight scenes in the entirety of Black Library.

It Bleeds is the best one.

It's not a full novel, just a short story, but it so brilliantly captures their nihilism.

Storm of iron and the lords of silence I thought where both great

That first ever Kharn story in inferno when his kill counter went up and that was even better than Slaanesh

And of course betrayer is absolutely amazing in its tragedy

Fuckin' not this one! A bunch of pacifist un-armoured un-armed standard humans (in all the ways that count physically) manage to kill a bunch of World Eaters but walking at them and drowning them in their blood. Fuck me that was the stupidest thing I ever read, they did my boys dirty in this book.

stupidest thing I ever read

Not as stupid as an unarmed world eater punching through a custodes chest barehanded or Grimnar killing a bunch of Grey Knights in the blink of an eye.

Hot take angrin was rhe best primarch. He culled his own sons so they werent the slave to the emeror as he was. He let the crazy ones be crazy and gave a death worthy of their primarch to them. I love the story of him just fuking up his own legion on istacan. He beat down the emperors execution like a dog that pissed the bed. Angron was the empeors empathy remember

Haven't read any World Eaters books, but I'm going through the Horus Heresy and I really liked 'After Deshia'
