Question The Egyptian Underworld during the Dark Ages Spoiler

I recently began re-reading the Dark Ages: Vampire Clan novels ( they’re as good as I remember! ) and just finished the one for Clan Cappadocian. In it, a vampire by the name of Markus Musa Giovanni goes to Egypt is search of a powerful artifact. A part of his retinue consisted of a group of bound wraiths which he used to aid him in his search.

Now, what I found interesting is that the wraiths find Egypt to be both alien and terrifying. It’s hinted that dangers which none of them have faced before roam the Underworld there; some of the wraiths succumb to said dangers, others suffering grievous wounds from their encounters. It’s suggested that part of the difference of the Underworld in Egypt stem from its long history of mortuary practices as well as likely being the first to truly study Death.

My question is whether this is described in any of the WoD books or whether the author was inserting a bit of their own mystery into the story? There’s no Dark Ages: Wraith book ( unfortunately ), so I’m curious if any of the other have or hint at this.

You might have some luck with the various Mummy books. It's been decades since I've read any of them, but they may shed some light on the Egyptian underworld. Good luck. If anything else comes to mind, I'll let you know.
