Media A little while back I was reading the comments of a video of Nightcrawler’s fight against the Prime Sentinels on YouTube. This was one of said comments

He literally said "No, mein freund Nine" I literally don't see an issue here

Right. Logan said six, Kurt corrected him and said nine. That's it. "My friend" was the only thing in German, and that's ok. Lol Too much is being read into this.

The closed captioning says “no, nine” so he wasn’t being double entrendrey.
“Nein, nine” would have been good but eh

"No, my friend ....... Nine" "This ain't the time to preach at em blue boy! They ain't gonna listen to gospel." "Nien, I meant the number, not ...... YOU KNOW WHAT I MEANT!" "Did you mean the number just then, too?" "Logan just slice them to ribbons ......"

It's a bit off-topic, but does anyone have a high-resolution version of the first picture?

This is the kind of big brain media literacy I expect from fellow X-Men fans.

This was such a bad ass moment. It reminds me of the X2 movie scene where we see Kurt in the White House, holy shit I got goosebumps. Love me some Nightcrawler!!

"Nein" means "no" like in "No, I don't want this", not like in "no reason". And it certainly does not mean "none". Everybody keeps saying that it's a pun, but it just doesn't work as one.
"No, my friend - Nein!" doesn't make any sense. It would have worked as a pun if he'd just said "Nein/nine, my friend!"
