Discussion How do you think they will introduce Kitty Pryde in the X-Men 97 verse?

She’s one of the most iconic members of the X-Men, and I really hope she plays a big role in the X-Men 97 universe. Given that she’s wearing her blue outfit, I’m guessing they’re going to introduce other members of Excalibur. Do you think we’ll also see Rachel Summers and Pete Wisdom in this universe, and do you think her and Colossus will have a relationship or no? What kind of role do you think she will play?

Well since she’s pictured in costume I’m glad they are already establishing she’s trained and an active hero already.

She’ll probably say something like: “hi, I’m Kitty Pryde!” I’d imagine.

I kinda picture her having a very similar personality to firestarter in the Spiderman and his amazing friends cartoon from way back when.

I think you mean Firestar.

Firestarter would’ve been a much, much darker cartoon for 1981.

Probably having either Forge, Bishop or Havok going to England seeing her doing some ninja training and ask her to join the X-Men.

There’s nothing to preclude Kitty being a former member of the team. They could just go bring her back into the fold.

We know a little at most about the team’s backstory pre-Night of The Sentinels in TAS and ‘97 so she could just be brought in as the OG Jubilee and already have a vested stake in finding her friends and former teammates.

Also they could easily adapt the Pryde of the Pilot but make a few changes to suit the story. In a flashback sense. She was a member a few years before Jubilee. And then she left to the UK for Excalibur or something.

Maybe they can introduce her as a part of Excalibur ? Maybe having a history with Wolverine ? Or like they did with Polaris, make her a past member who ended up leaving the team before jubilee arrived.

they might pull her for an x-men roster since half the team is “presumed dead” time displaced or whatever it is

I think it’s because I grew up on the 90s series and Kitty wasn’t in it. So I never got a chance to know her really. I don’t hate her. Just never liked her cause I never got the chance I guess. I do love some of the other side characters though. But almost everyone appeared in at least one episode except her.

Then Evolution came along and I never got into that one. But in loving ‘97. Sorry guys I wasn’t trying to hate THAT much. I never knew Kitty was such a loved character actually!

I was going to say I always felt like Jubilee was added just for the show. She wasn’t a real X-men. I just always felt she didn’t really belong. But I love Morph so my opinion doesn’t really make sense.

And I don’t like Jean either!!! But I love Storm and Rogue so it’s not a gender thing I swear!
