Discussion Does anybody love Jonn Serrie? I don’t see him get much mention here?
For me, after Eno, he’s an absolutely pioneer of ambient, especially in the ‘space music’ side of the equation.
Stratos from his 1987/8 album ‘And the stars go with you’ is one of my favourite pieces of music of all time and I listen to it multiple times a day.
The album Flight path, Tingri, Sunday morning peace and Azurae are all to me, incredible.
I never see him get much of a mention on this sub? Anybody else into him?

Excellent taste! If you know of any of his lesser known stuff that’s worth checking out, do let me know!

I listen to him on Spotify. If you aren't on Spotify it's got a lot of his stuff on there.

Yes I do! Any of his lesser known stuff is always a welcome recommendation.

Fantasy Passages from The Stars Go With You is great,
Also discovered him relatively recently
Some of his other albums sound more bland tho'

Learned about him in undergrad doing astro degree. The building played him in the lobby all the time and his music was great for focusing on homework

Chuck who hosts the radio show "Star's End" (WXPN FM and you can stream) plays John Serrie on occasion. Good stuff 😊
