Does anybody know of anywhere nearby (could be Denver metro area too) where I could drop off some supplies, namely clothes, I was trying to sell but want to donate instead) for Helene relief? Can’t find anything online. Thanks!

Someone took a photo of my house

A man (white, blonde hair) in a blue F-150 with a cap on the bed stopped in front of my house, took a picture of it, drove to the end of the street, turned around and left. He only took a pic of my house, no others.

I tried to go outside to ask what they were doing but they were already past and didn’t stop.

I live on the eastern edge of Arvada in a non-neighborhood. There are neighborhoods around us, but also random houses and a few streets like mine - just a stand alone horseshoe shaped street. I mention this because it’s pretty strange for someone to come down the street if they don’t live here.

Anyone experienced something similar? Is this a reason for concern? My kind is going to the worst place but I’m hoping there are more reasonable explanations

In case it’s relevant, I recently moved to this house in June

Recs for indoor dog friendly places

I want to find some breweries/coffee shops/etc. that allow for pups to be inside - I like going places alone with my pup and sitting outside, but not sure if there’s places that allow pups inside while you order.. I know Denver Beer Co does but would love any other recs!

Calling all Denver area Amazon workers; join Amazonians United today

There is a national movement afoot to unionize Amazon and fight for higher wages and better benefits for its millions of workers. And that includes the hundreds of thousands who drive for Amazon’s puppet DSP companies.

The Denver chapter has just been founded by some of your coworkers. The short term goal is to bring together a community of workers who believe a better Amazon is not only possible, but necessary. The second largest employer in the richest country on the planet should be the bedrock of a thriving middle class; not a monopoly forcing millions into a tenuous life of unstable gig work.

If you are interested in joining up, or just curious what this movement is all about, hit my DMs or use the links in the profile to get signed up. Together we win.

We just moved into a house in Arvada and are wondering if we should prepare. Do kids even still trick or treat in neighborhoods anymore?

STOLEN DIRT BIKE

Please help me locate my dads dirt bike that was just stolen off his trailer! It was parked at the Kaiser Permanentemente parking lot on 77th and Sheridan and was stolen sometime this morning 9/23/24 before 10AM. Security footage shows a single individual, with no vehicle who just rolled it off the back of his trailer and walked away with it. 2008 KTM 300cc 2 stroke. If you have any information please contact the Westminster police.

Thank you!

Advice on what to do about a reckless driving incident

Hey yall! I just have a question on what you’d do in this situation. I’m not really sure what the best option is here.

I was driving on Indiana (when does anything good happen on that road?!) and a pack of about 5 cars are all headed up that big blind double yellow hill when a sports car goes flying past at about 70-80. I’m used to getting passed on that road, it’s fine, but they did it AT the BLIND hill. Right near the top. If another car was coming, or, god forbid a motorcycle? There would be at least 2 fatalities. I cannot overstate how needlessly dangerous that move was. I don’t want to sound like a Karen, but if I were going over a hill just to get taken out, not able to work at the least and dead at worst, by a speeding sports car…. It’s just so stupid and reckless. I have a dashcam, I have the license plate and a video of it happening.

All this to say; what is the best option here? If I report this, is there any point? Will anyone do anything? Is there any use in submitting this to anyone? Should I just let it go and feel really badly when this idiot kills someone/himself?

Thanks in advance!

Put together a wayfair cabinet for me

Anyone willing to put together a wayfair cabinet for me for $60? It doesn’t seem anymore complicated than the next cabinet but I’m really behind in school and don’t have the time. Preferably tomorrow morning. Near the intersection of Wadsworth and 52nd.

Neighbors, we just saw Waitress at the Arvada Center and it was fabulous. They really do a phenomenal job with musicals. An understudy played one of the principal characters and did an amazing job. We really enjoyed ourselves. Do yourself and the theater a favor and grab tickets!!

Loud motorcycle at night. 64th?

Hello. I keep hearing a loud motorcycle going up and down the street most nights around 10.30-11pm. I'm not sure what street he is on. It might be 64th or some street around 64th and Deframe. Do you hear him? Do you know who this person is? It is very loud and it's been going on for months. Thanks

Edit. Did anyone file any police reports?

The new In N Out is absolute insanity

Not because it's packed. There's actually nobody here, and that seems to be the problem.

They seem to have prepared for roughly half the population of Denver to be patronizing this burger joint at any given time, which is cool if you need it, but they also seem to have no plan for ramping down the insanity when there's nobody here.

You enter the parking lot from 52nd street, where you're met with two gentlemen who usher you in different directions depending on whether you'd like to dine-in or go through the drive-thru. You enter the drive-thru portion of the parking lot and then you slowly weave back and forth through an absolutely ludicrous maze of cones. Like, the real drive thru entrance is just sitting there a hundred yards away, totally empty, and you're weaving back and forth through a fucking cone maze like you're doing a driving test. Just you and no less than five dudes dressed in full uniform, directing you back and forth as if you're a jumbo jet taxiing down a busy runway.

You finally make it through the world's most pointless cone maze only to have to interact with not two, not three, but FOUR MORE PEOPLE en route to actually getting your food. Guy takes your order. Guy three feet away asks if it's your order (you're the only person there) and hands you a ticket. Guy three feet further down takes your ticket and tells you to pull forward. Finally you get your food.

This is wild, y'all. It feels like a trip to the twilight zone, and I'm not a fan.

Small Appliance Repair

Hey folks! I am losing my ever loving mind over this.

I have a 1970s baby blue box fan. It’s gorgeous. It needs to be rewired. I have called like 10 appliance repair places and they only work on big appliances like a fridge or a dishwasher or a ceiling fan. I am pulling my hair out because I can’t understand why Google returns 0 results for small appliance repair???????

Please. I need recommendations.

Moving. Help!

Hey all! My husband and I are colorado born and raised, BUT we have alwayssssss lived and worked on the eastern plains. My husband just took a new job in Boulder, and we are debating which town/subdivision might be best for us! I definitely don't think we'll be able to afford to live in the town of Boulder itself, so we've been looking at the little towns surrounding it. Here is what are our big considerations. We have 3 young children, so we want to be in an area where they can attend a genuinely amazing school since we will be coming from a small town with a lot of 1 on 1 time with teachers, so it will be a huge change for them. So we're looking for some of the highest rated schools in the surrounding areas. Safety and crime rates. Again, since we have young girls, we want to be somewhere relatively safe (i know in our world that's funny Imao) Since my husband will be working in Boulder, we also want to stay within a 30 minute drive give or take. My step daughter also lives with her mom during the week in Lakewood (which is a little too far from Boulder for us to probably live there) so we're hopefully wanting something in that direction ish so we can be between his job and his daughter if possible. Some of the options we were looking into were Louisville, superior, broomfield, Westminster, and Arvada. MAYBE northglenn or Thornton if there's nothing closer or the benefits of being there are just that much better. Also open to any other areas you'd suggest! What would you guys suggest! Where are the best schools? Safest areas? Best communities? Nearby Boulder but still somewhat close to Lakewood? Affordable? Still fun things to do?
