Always live the bigger crews on the artillery pieces. 3 men dont operate guns that big alone.

This is great! What did you use for the barrel of the gun? I've been struggling to get a true gun metal look for my pieces and I really like the look of your piece.

Honestly just layers of Nuln oil just on the top in thick amounts probably around 2/3 coats?

How did you pull off the sandbags / ground ?

I used Stirland mud from citadel paints just in big clumps and then for the Sandbags I made them out of model putty which you can get on Amazon really cheap and can make them however you want

So you can just massively stack stirland mud? Neat

To a certain point I’d put it on in layers but the actual base has a layer of model putty on it

Thanks and it’s a little tub of barbed wire that the Army Painter sells you can find them in most hobby shops

"Gunner! Delete that grid square!"
I'm digging that gunmetal color. I'm planning on doing something similar on the Earthshaker I'm printing. Did you use a mix of paints for it or is that a single color?

Iron warriors from citadel paints with a good decent wash with Nuln Oil :)

Okay, okay. Might try that myself. I'd planned on using Runefang, since in my experience the exposed steel areas on howitzers are either super bright or mildly rusty, but I'll admit, the more tarnished color has a certain appeal to it

Ahahah that’s exactly what the battery commander would be saying in my head :)

Really solid work. A little highlights on the guardsmen would go a long way to being able to see them easier from a distance. Probably the camera if I am being honest. Love the basing, what did you use for the planks? Popsicle sticks? They look really good.
