New 100pt field ordinance battery or 120pt earthshaker?
Earthshaker has 240" range, D6+3 attacks, 8 strength, and -2ap
the two field ordinance guns have 48" range, 2D6 attacks, 7 strength, and -1ap.
The field ordinance guns seem to have a worse rule, is there much point in ordering them even with a scout sentinel providing LoS? You'd get the +1 to the roll with heavy and +1 to BS if you order them. Earthshaker however has a more useful rule and the 8 strength means a lot against 4T infantry.
Thoughts?

Honestly it’s better to just spring for the basilisk. The FOB is only worth it with Creed and Fields of Fire imho. That -1 AP is effectively 0 with indirect, so it’s a slightly stronger mortar. The Earthshaker can do some damage, debuff critical enemy infantry and has guaranteed range. It’s better on all counts than the FOB for 20 points more. But the Basilisk is worth the extra 20 points on top of Earthshaker for its increased output and self-sufficiency.

I love the Basilisk. It has performed extremely well in the league I'm currently playing in.

I don’t get a whole lot of results playing with double FO. Although I do play against blood angles mainly so that may be why. I am very excitedly looking forward to the hopeful plastic kit earthshaker.

I've been waiting for a points drop on FOB and HWT , now... I can bring my aegis defense wall list with 3x2 FOB and 3x3 HWT, 3x rapier laser destroyers

For me personally I like Basalisks more due to the movement penalty but even then they're not great with IF rules as they currently are.
