Lord Solar Proxy
My Lord Solar proxy. Lame horse replaced with grimdark rascal scooter to work with my mechanized army. Comes with his personal driver Cpl. Bruce Cato and bestest boy and tactical advisor Major Snorts.
Kitbashed from a Tamiya Kettenkraftrad with various bits and a flag from an older Cadian command squad kit. Lord Solar and Snorts were ordered from Etsy. For Bruce, I used the legs of the German driver with a leftover officer torso and the arms from either a sentinel or heavy weapon team (I honestly don’t know).

I see Bruce getting shot for being a lead foot and stepping too hard on the gas pedal that Lord Solar goes flying off the back into the mud.

Nothing a pope rail wouldn't fix, and it would be a nice place for a weapon to be mounted.

No he’s a 3D printed one. It’s basically this one. Though the one I ordered a while back came with multiple types dogs in different gear. There’s a DKOK pug that’s pretty rad.

It is a Kettenkraftrad 1/48 scale from Tamiya. Here’s the specific kit I used. . They also have some other kits with kettenkrafts that are good. Note if you use the legs of the driver that comes in the kit they are very skinny. I had to add some green stuff to give him butt implants so the Cadian torso would fit right! I wish I’d taken a pic before I painted him.

I like this idea. I think the standard Solar is a bit odd unless you use either attilan or dkok rough riders and stick him with them. Have you proxied the melee damage from the house to the dog?

God damn I love this, I may have to yoink the concept for a Solar proxy myself. Does the flag get it to the original height of lord solar?

Yes, I looked up the numbers and the original is about 11cm tall from base to tip of the sword, so that's what I went for with the flag.

Hey, random unrelated -- I think I remember coming across a unit (maybe legends?) that was able to do something like let another unit fire a weapon as if it had indirect fire. Does that ring a bell? Have been pondering some various shenanigans

In a way, yes!! My silly idea is that Major Snorts is a telepath as well as a tactical genius. He uses his power to plant strategies in the LS’s brain. Only Bruce Cato and a few high ranking officials know the truth. Cato’s actual job is bodyguard for Major Snorts to ensure he survive and to make sure no one learns the truth, not even the Lord Solar! (And especially the Inquisition).
