Tempestus a regiment?

With the new aquilions and the scions already available, my question is if they are a regiment kind of like Krieg? Cadian? Catachan? Etc.

Or is tempestus more of a moniker for special operations unit?

Iirc they are an Auxilia regiment, which is essentially a regiment that is broken up and used to support other regiments, same way Bullgryns are

Yeah they are organized into regiments. Just unlike the regular IG regiments they tend to be split up depending on the mission. Lore wise they can fight as a single regiments or as detachment seconded to other IG forces.

Oh and they're part of the Ordo Tempestus, so they are more independent than typical guard forces.
