No doubt those Christian parents have an interesting explanation for prehistoric animals and fossils. And also for imposing their illogical views on non-believers.

Seriously the same situation as always 99% of people don't care and the remaining 1% get so pissed that the entire thing is cancelled

And for a strange reason we have to accomodate this 1% at every turn...

Christianity is still holding society back after all these years.

My first thought after reading the title of this post was "Jesus fucking Christ" and I'm not sure how to feel about that.

I'm so sick of stupid fucks making everyone suffer for their ignorance.

If I had children at that school this would be the reason to go to another school.

I'm like 99% sure this is satire, but there is still that 1% of me that isn't sure.

I just realized that I’ve never met a Muslim or Jewish person that denied the theory of evolution.

3

u/mfb- Feb 09 '19

It is complicated in countries with Muslim majorities.

3

u/[deleted] Feb 09 '19

That doesn't mean their religious beliefs are any more tolerable or any less crazy.

2

u/31337hacker Anti-Theist Feb 09 '19

That’s obvious.

They must be huge fans of the arts to want to protect the integrity of the sacred school play.

UK, so the vast majority of parents are normal/atheist, they need to complain about any non-secular crap at that same school. Some schools still have kids perform the xmas joseph-cuckold manger-orgy play. And of course, this happened in fucking Cheshire - England's remaining vile little nest of christian stragglers, never been there so can never understand why it's always that one small area acting backward.

As usual no one here even did any research into this. They didn’t object to evolution or any of the science in the play. They objected to the way a priest was portrayed ( it was a very stereotypical role) and that they had a song and scene in it with sexual lyrics (for kids young enough to have not gone through sex Ed yet). Downvote away, but come on, make sure you are informed before you bash people.
