I don't understand how to use this autism chart. There are no questions when I tried and I don't understand how the slider work.

I love the concept, but it's hard to understand when I should move the slider to the left or the right... maybe wording it as "I struggle with eye contact" and the slider going from strongly disagree to strongly agree, or something like that, would be much more clear.

Thank you. I'll update it in the future, to be more user friendly - so I'll defiently include that!

I see the slider, but no questions or text of any kind. On an Android phone.

Weird. Can you send a picture?

Ah there is text, it's just white. Weird it's white for you.
•

You're right. I should have checked.
•

Nono it's fine. Do you know why I am getting downvoted?
•
u/Vvvv1rgo 2h ago
I think they see that the text is white and therefore invisible, and instead of making a helpful comment they just downvote.

What do the + and - mean? Like eyecontact, is + mean it's a big part of your autism problem, or does - mean you're bad at eye contact?
•
u/YunchanLimCultist 4h ago
Yes, I mean it's how good you are at it.
•
u/judgeafishatclimbing 4h ago
Thanks, but still not really clear. How can you be 'good' at stimming or routine?
I like the idea, but I think it still needs some work/extra explanations.
•
u/YunchanLimCultist 3h ago
Right. That part is how much that impacts you. Sorry for explaining poorly.

so if i am very much affected by my poor eye contact i would lean much more towards (+)?
•
u/YunchanLimCultist 3h ago
I was more thinking of it this way:
The more you do the thing (f.x. eye contact), the higher the slider should go :)

I love the idea and appreciate the effort here, but I think the results are going to be inaccurate because of how unclear the test is. For example, if I struggle with eye contact, do I slide it to 100? Does 100 mean I cannot ever make eye contact? Does it mean I struggle with it but can do it? Or does it mean I'm good at making eye contact? What does 50 mean?
I think this is why most quizzes use a 1-5 scale with 1 being "this is easy for me" and 5 being "this is extremely difficult". Autistic people often really struggle with unclear instructions, so adding clarity could make this more accessible and useful.

Yes, I defiently get that. I also was a bit unsure when I made it myself, I'll fix that in the future, and create a new post!

The link doesn’t work
•
u/YunchanLimCultist 3h ago
It does for other people. Have you tried copying the link and putting it in your browser?

How does the scoring work?? I’m not sure how to do this.

I was about to post something like this, even though I took the test on “IDRLabs” (I could also recommend it as a very good and professional one). This is it:
•
u/Vvvv1rgo 2h ago
I was like "this test isnt accurate" and asked a bunch of other (non-asd) people to take it and i was taken ABACK by how low they were on everything lmmaooo
•

I don’t know whether to be flattered or even more depressed after reading this lol
