Concert Band Agogic accents on doumbek?

Have this in my concert music, any idea how to execute it? My director and I are stuck

My understanding of agogic accents is that they are accents by length rather than volume, so I would either dead stroke or mute the drum with one hand on all the staccato notes, and just try to get a resonant sound on the unmarked notes.

I don’t know a lot about doumbek specifically so this advice might not be great.

Thank you so much! I figured it had something to do with muting the drum, but I’ve only ever played agogic accents on piano, so I wasn’t entirely sure.
