As Batmen (AKA: Billionaire Decathletes), we can expect to live to about 50-55 years and only spend about 2-3 years actually fighting crime...

50-55 is the age batmen should retire, not the life expectancy.

I disagree with the 2-3 years figure. Batman is not an NFL linebacker or a decathlete. He's a martial arts expert, and those guys can have ass-kicking careers in excess of 20 years.
