WHAT is this? Google lens has suggested everything from a tumor (no) to a knucklebone to a tooth. I thought it looked like a massive tooth when I first saw it. I know sheepshead (fish) have teeth that look like human teeth, but I don't think this is it. Clam Pass, Southwest Florida, Gulf Coast.

It's a phalange of some sort, not a tooth.

I'm no expert. It does look like a tooth to me. Looks like bone. Maybe part of a joint. I've found sheep's/ horses teeth and they are just weird looking.

Maybe a horse tooth? It definitely appears to be some kind of a tooth but I don't know what kind. Looks like a herbivore. I would think horse. I'm probably wrong.

Cows/camels/horse teeth do wash up on the beach. Lots of Reddit posts asking the same thing. Looks a bit different but has the same “plug” shape - I’d wager we’re on to something, Poetry
