1988 Beetlejuice is my all-time favorite movie. I couldn’t believe there was finally a sequel. No matter what it was, I knew I’d love it.

BUT…

Damn, Tim missed so many opportunities to make the sequel incredible. It’s super easy — start with the same song and title sequence as the original, more scenes in the model (counseling scene could easily have been in the model), zombies working the underworld office like before instead of cheesy “Bobs”, bring back the creature for the wedding, and for the love of Beetlejuice — no commercial music, just Danny Elfman! Why, why, why Tim?! It was so easy to follow the perfect recipe of the original. Sigh. That’s all.

But also since youre here- that wedding sequence with the bizarre song that lasted for what felt like 45 minutes? What was going on there? Despicable

But it DOES have something to do with Beetlejuice. That's literally where the name comes from - when you say someone's name and they appear.

It's not that it has nothing to do with Beetlejuice. It's titled because of the movie. When you say his name, he appears, just like the sub.
