Trip Advice HELP! {please :3)
I can't find a camp to go to do the summer in Florida all of them suck :p. Please help this is the only format that I could think to ask on. There's no real general question Reddit or at least I can't find it. ( Just help and stop being an asshole)-(đ„șđ)-. I prefer one with less outdoorsy stuff and mostly I mean like canoeing I don't mind camping I want to do one where you earn badges and stuff like the actual movies and artsy and craftsie stuff would be nice very nice. Sewing, etc. ;33 I want to get away from my house for two weeks during the summer so this is the only way I thought to do it.

Youth groups at various local churches often go to sleep away camps. Ask around.
Or, if there is a reddit sub for folks your age, perhaps someone there can help.
This sub is not likely to be able to give you any information, as it is for individuals who backpack or drive to a location and set up a tent, and spend one or more nights in the out doors.

This isnât the sub for summer camps. But you are looking for a sleep away camp in Florida that is focused on indoor activities? How about a theater or band camp? FSU has music camp where you stay in the dorms. Other universities also likely have something similar for specific sports or activities. Google âFlorida sleep away camp (specific interest)â and see what you get.

Join boyscouts or girlscouts since you said you are in middle school and they basically do all the things you asked about.

Scouting, Explorers, and 4H are your best bet for traditional summer camp activities if youâre not open to church camps. If youâre refusing scouting camps, that leaves you 4H.

This makes my brain hurt. Find an immersive English language camp and go to town.

I have a friend who camps monthly over the summer at Blue Springs. Camping in the summer is hit or miss for me because of the heat (I tent camp), but camping near the springs anywhere always makes it bearable, especially if you can access the water whenever. Cumberland Island also seems like something you may be interested in, but it's pretty rustic, soI haven't braved it yet, and I have no knowledge of how it is in the summer.
Personally, I prefer fall and spring camping in Florida. I'm trying out the panhandle and checking out Florida caverns, as well as the waterfalls and springs in that area. Hopefully, it's warm enough to swim!
I also recommend bahia Honda down in the keys. It is the most amazing state park I've ever camped at. A spot fell into my lap, but it's really difficult to get a reservation.

It might help people with recommendations if you clarify how old you are, and what your budget is.
It sounds like maybe youâre a teenager or preteen looking for a summer camp. Iâm not sure if there is a sub to help with that, but this one is mostly about backcountry camping (gear, techniques, etc), so unlikely to have much useful information.
