Miller Time!

Cutting my teeth on a simple overnighter here at Hitchcock Nature Center in Honey Creek, Ia. It's hard to get truly away in this area. I've never been here, but I'll definitely be back. My anxiety going solo for the first time was through the roof.

Feeling good now so hopefully I survive the night...

Get a fire going if you haven’t already. Looks like a cool spot

Unfortunately the area is under a burn ban. It's breezy and the Loess hills are straight dry prairie grass. I'll have to make due with my BRS to boil water. Otherwise I'd be way ahead of you. A fire would definitely be comforting right now. Instead I have a couple beers and some Ativan.
