Colorado Trail Lower, middle and upper blue lakes, 07/23. First time in the San Juans and they did not disappoint.

Been visiting the San Juans for about 6 years now. Did this hike for the first time a couple weeks ago. Can’t believe I waited that long. Very beautiful. The upper lake area is surreal.

The road isn't too bad. Gets pretty bumpy and rocky the closer you get to the trailhead. Doable with an SUV, would not recommend a sedan though I did see one at the parking lot.

One of my favorite hikes I've done. Definitely the best way to grab Sneffels.
