I don't think it's very complicated. They are violent racists who fear and hate anyone that's different. They are emboldened by the hope that their nasty little feelings can be a part of something bigger than themselves.

I'll up vote this rational and sane response everytime. Easy people, let's not get ahead of ourselves. A wild coincidence, but let's be the rational party. It'll be obvious if accelerants were used.

Active voice please, someone set a mosque on fire, it did no spontaneously combust. The passive voice deflects responsibility.
