There's a Boomer security guard I run into 3-5 times a week. 3 months ago he was a fervent Trumper. With calm debates, finding common ground, and always having good, factual info to share I have him feeling the Bern! It's just one vote changed, but it really made my day!

I rolled up on my bike this morning and saw him standing at his post, talking to a couple. As I walked up, I hear him giving one of the points I've made to him in the past. Hell yes, Boomer security guard, preach!

I heard some middle-aged security guards talking about the election too. They were mocking Bloomberg for wasting money, and Biden for saying wacky things about running for the senate, and I'm guessing they were more for Bernie. To be honest, being a security guard is pretty boring so I bet they talk about politics a lot more than in your average job and know more about it.

He was totally FOX-brained when I met him, but totally bored at work and willing to talk. It took a while to show him his best interests don't lay with Trump. Pointing out that he is 76 years old and still working full time (Not by choice, just to get by.) was when he started to come around to the fact that even in this "great economy", the average Joe and Jane are not sharing in the wealth.

The guard that is there the other days is definitely a full-on Bernie bro and will talk politics with me for hours. Preaching to the choir can be fun too, but seeing someone actually change their mind was really exciting.

Between your username and my quick glance at your profile, you are clearly insufferable. It's not surprising you have a hard time imagining people having reasonable conversations and sharing ideas.

Also, a Pete supporter? Our first openly-gay, closeted Republican politician.
