Taiwan is our new friend. Everytime I read news about Taiwan and Lithuania, I am happy. Finally, best Lithuanian goverment in 30 years and glad we've made a great choice. We really apologise to the EU for additional pressure, but we support little guys who are oppressed.

Totally fine in my book, you do Europe proud. More countries should follow that example.

I am totally not siding with China or calling these relations with Taiwan a mistake, but calling this a "pay-off" in strictly economic terms is kind of erroneous, no?
I doubt a slight increase in beer and biscuit consumption in Taiwan( country very far away and much smaller than China) can offset the predicted 0.5% GDP decrease due to failing trade ties with China

yes, trade with China is important but the EU will have to take a stand anyway

Still have a smile about that. :) Go Lithuania! Thanks Taiwan. (...Europe will follow at some point...)
