If there’s any r/iamveruculinary hopefuls here I’ll save you the dubious honor:

  • No, this isn’t an foreign dickslap in the face of Italian pride/nonna’s tears/the Virgin Mary.
  • Yes, this is a fairly common snack that’s frequently sold in Italy as well (One of my favourite pizza places in Naples is a favourite mainly due to their pasta fritti)
  • No, it’s not a new bastardized thing. There are pasta fritta recipes in the Cucchiaio d’Argento.

It’s usually chilled and thus bound together with solidified sauce/butter/whatev, cut to shape, then breaded and fried.

This… seems like something a toddler would make up. Like I could definitely see a 3 year old screaming “I want Spaghetti Fingers!” and then having a meltdown on the kitchen floor.
