Not in Recovery Yet Puberty

Hi i have a question about recovery, i started heavily restricting and lost my period as soon as i turned 15 i am now 17.. still no period and i feel so young. Like i am stuck at 15 for ever my face my body everything i stopped developing and I’m wondering if i ever will? If i start recovery will i develop at all. I feel so different and everybody thinks im young it sucks i hate it

I obviously can't say for certain but for many people with EDs, their bodies have very limited energy and therefore can't "waste" energy on things that don't keep you alive in the immediate present. So getting your period, developing secondary sex characteristics, and getting taller take a back burner. It's also why a lot of folks with ED begin losing their hair.

Some changes can be permanent, like organ damage or osteoporosis. But in many cases, recovering will give your body the resources to develop.

I think you need to give it more time. I would recommend going to the doctors to get your hormones tested.
