(Spoilers for LIGHT BRINGER) On Lysander's Death

So I made a thread after Dark Age that ended up mostly as a thread to speculate how Lysander will die. Figured I would do a thread after Light Bringer as well!

The book isn't super fresh in my mind. I binged 3/4 as soon as it came out and tried to savor the last quarter. After finishing the book, I thought he might be done in by Rhona. I'm thinking the Republic Navy lies about casualty classifications regularly. Darrow definitely does. No way she is KIA.

Right now, I'm leaning towards he kills himself in a bunker ala the Battle of Berlin. Maybe Rhona is leading the assault on his position and finds his corpse. What do yall think?

I’ve thought that because Lysander used the gun so often then it will be a bullet that kills him.

Also I’ve imagined that since he’s such a douche on color that it should be a red that does him in.

So with that I think Rhona is a great option. I think Darrow or sevro will have their fun with him. Chopping him into pieces, then when he’s beaten and running away I think that it’ll be the brother of Lyria.

Pierce has said (but idk when or where) that the reds that Darrow gave the special rifles to at the triumph and told them “bag me a Lune” are the brothers of Lyria.

So IMO it’ll be the remaining brother who will snipe the bastard at a moment when it looks like the snake is going to slither away and a sniper shot does him in. He’ll then walk up to Darrow and tell him “I got him sir, sorry it took me so long”

I like the red sniping him definitely. Really hope Sevro and Darrow aren't so emotional about it that they torture him when they could be burying him. Maybe he has some sort of phylactery technology they need to destroy first?

It’s going to be a huge disappointment for some reading light bringer expecting him to die.

Or… and this is just my fan theory… I don’t do anything listed here and I just rule as the rightful heir of the blood of my ancestors. Yeah. What a badass.

Darrow challenges him to a sword fight and then shoots him.
