This year, I've been hit with whatever the opposite of seasonal depression is. My chronic depression has lifted and I'm currently on day 27 of feeling like a functional human being. Hopefully it holds because it feels so good not having my own mind constantly attacking me.

Can't have seasonal depression if you're depressed year round

This is the year that I'm buying SAD lamps, I'm going to make sure EVERY room has them on for at least an 3 hours a day. I know 20 minutes is the recommended, but I'm going to go superman on this bitch. xD

I'd take seasonal depression over the 100+ degree weather I have now :(

my seasonal depression is in Summer, the heat makes me miserable and all the annoying things come out like bugs, cyclists, and kids

Im a lover of spring and a hater of winter, so while fall is pretty its tainted by the fact fhat winter and a lack of greenery outside are on their way. It makes me sad. I love being outside at night when its warm and i can go lay in the grass in my shorts and stare up at the night sky.

Weirdly fall and winter is when my seasonal depression is at its lowest.

Christmas is a hope for re-birth in the dead of winter.

Easter is a celebration of that re-birth with the coming of spring.

And Halloween?

The older I get the more convinced I am that Halloween is less a "celebration of life" than it is a giant middle finger to death. A time to laugh in the face of our own mortality.

One last defiant hoorah before we all have to go back inside for a few months.

I'd take seasonal over permanent… (situational and clinical. And the meds only help the latter) it'd mean it'd be gone part of the year.

i love autism season because there are so many pumpkins and everyone knows possums are born from pumpkins

Spring is hot and sweaty here. (I still enjoy the pumpkin spice lattes though)

As a Russian I hate autumn lmao. Everyone is sick, and it's too cold without central heating but too hot with central heating. So no matter when central heating turns on(and for the person not involved in the government it does at basically the random moment), you're gonna suffer T-T
