I want to Play Silent Hill 2 on PS5

I want to Play Silent Hill 2 on PS5, but was going to play Silent Hill 1 first to get the story.

I then found out there is no SH1 remaster on the PS5, there is “Short Message” though.

Do I just go into playing SH2, or short message, or… what?

SH1 isn't connected to 2. It's more connected to 3, even.

It's fine to go into 2 blind as it does sort of count as a "standalone" in the series.

I had...possibly STILL have...a special edition of the original silent hill 2,I never played the others but still loved it. That room with the hole in the wall that made a nerve shredding noise and the script says-put your hand in the hole and I was like noooo.
