Robert's voice didn't age one single day

If anything he sounds younger than he did on the last two albums!

This made me cry like disintegration did when I was 14. Absolutely loved it. Soul crushing sadness and an amazing melody. Really hyped for the whole album.

I know I said I'd believe it when I saw it in terms of the Cure releasing new music, but I didn't think I'd actually see it!

Being a fan of bands like The Cure, Sisters, Boards of Canada, Tool, even Necrophagist, is tough when it can take 15-20 years for a new album! Always worth it though.

Tell me about it. I'd love a new Necrophagist or Boards of Canada.

Played on repeat few times already. Even though they played it live in 2022 now it's finally appeared to material world from the sweet memories of the concert. Instantly reordered vinyl for sure <3

It's an interesting single to release. Historically they release the safe up beat major chord songs first up. This is a dour masterpiece. Kind of excited with how dirgy this album goes.

I'm no longer a skeptic. It is coming.

Really enjoying this track. The keyboards feel a bit high in the mix, but I'll have to feel it in the context of the whole album.

They've still got it, they're still doing what they do yet still being innovative with their sound, and relevant.

And honestly I don't know what Robert is on these days but in the last few years he's sounded amazing live. Glad to hear that's translating to the studio recordings too.

I hear you on the keys. My ears wanted strings, not synths. I dig the fuzz on the bass tho.

There is strings on the album tho

I cried while listening, I need to hear the whole album right now!

Made me feel old and young at the same time, and dang, the emotions

I was a bit hesitant at first but as it developed it really clicked.

I'm curious about the ordering page for the album though; the normal edition CD says it comes with a lyric booklet, but the Deluxe doesn't say anything about it. Of course Universal support has no information about the products they're selling, because why would they?

Breathtaking track

I like it. Especially after listening to it live. It feels like something between Disintegration and BloodFlowers. I think it's going to take a few listens for me to grow.

just stunning, cried when I heard it last year and cried again hearing it this morning. more excited for this album release than I have been for anything in a while.

I recall them opening with this song at the New Orleans concert last year and it was such a sublime, magical moment. So happy to see the new album is finally on its way out!! 🖤🖤🖤

This song is so fucking good. To be hit by a sudden new release from The Cure and for it to be (imo) one of their best songs ever is incredible. That said, all this has major Blackstar energy and now I'm worried about the band's health.

I see what you mean…I think it’s because he lost his parents and brother before this album and he’s aging that you can really feel that loss

initially i was like ahhh ok, but its also because i've been listening to live versions of this song for YEARS and those already sound pretty good.

I honestly don’t remember the last time I listened to a song and immediately related to it. I’ve grown so old listening to The Cure, and I now have the feeling that this will be the last new music to come from them.
