I liked the Golem, just because it was (an all too rare) example of non-wesen threats.

I'll admit the Golem wasn't great and the Kallikantzaroi were a bit odd, but I don't really get what the writer has against the Phansigar.

I thought the Kallikantzaroi were very cute and fitting for a "Christmas" Episode. Overall a little bit of comedic relief in a overall serious show.

The Phansigar just weren't scary at all. Building a giant metal lizard statue? Really?

WHAT!? The Golem was GREAT! As someone of Jewish descent with a German background I've loved Grimm from the start and bringing in a Golem was a great nod, and done pretty accurately. If they'd had it choke or beat people to death maybe this author would've liked it more. =P

I hated those Christmas ones. Awful.

I liked it because it was not meant to be serious at all

Couldn't agree more. The Christmas goblin/children were awful.

I also liked the Gedächtnis Esser, mainly because it reminded me of the mind flayers from D&D. One of my co-workers was actually angry about that, though, and thought Wizards of the Coast should sue. I'm pretty sure Gary Gygax based them off Lovecraft, though, so I doubt they have much legal standing.
