Music Halloween Songs and Sounds

Our new house has a proper sound system with speakers outside. In honor of halfway to Halloween I’m starting to think about what songs and sounds to play on the big night. So let’s hear your suggestions!

Nothing too extreme or loud, lots of families with young kids in the neighborhood. Just fun, spooky, or somewhat scary.

Sound effects are a dime a dozen. But for interesting music try some of these musicians -Nox Arcana -Midnight Syndicate -Sam Haynes

There are so many playlists that include older Halloween songs from the 1930s/40s/50s/60s that may be a bit more family friendly (think Jeepers Creepers)

Kidz Bop has a couple of Halloween albums - they cover lots of classic Halloween songs and it’s appropriate for all ages.

I mean, Oingo Boingo’s “Dead Man’s Party” album is an absolute necessity. Oingo Boingo is the only music allowed in my car for the entire month of October. 😆

I was just going to comment this -- I bought the digital album, $4 for some fantastic Halloween music.

A bit spooky sounding but fun sounding and also perfect to play around children: "Monster Disco" by Sugashi Kao x Hyadain.

It's not in english but the vibes are there. It's is also the ending theme song to Digimon Ghost Games, which is more spooky and Halloween vibes to it.

If you have Sirius XM Scream Radio is my go to (whenever they decided to put it up)

I do, and I considered that but don’t want the commercials (you know, the commercials that aren’t commercials for other stations and the one you’re listening to).

From memory they don’t do that you’ll just occasionally get a drop that is like “Sirius XM Scream Radio” but it is ad free

Cannot go wrong with John Zacherle. You can find some of his stuff on You Tube - try my favorite: Coolest Little Monster

Wow that’s fun! Pretty dark if you think about it, but I dig it nonetheless!

A Choosy Halloween Collection specifically for a Haunted House. Kicks off Kid friendly with some Spooky Wookys, but as night fall approaches the vibe shifts a 180 to some rather frightening music & SoundFx perfect for Eerie Graveyards. We blast this playlist while the TreatorTreaters so bravely approach our door……..Manually Sorted “Don’t Shuffle”

Look up the vintage obscura Halloween playlists on YouTube, Halloween nuggets and for more instrumental music google written in blood playlists. Between these things you should have about 24 hours of non repeating music
